Only blinking made it stay

Ongoing

Focusing the gaze of the escapist on a search for purpose, meaning, and foothold in the current of everyday life.  At every step, we are confronted with choices, waiting to be anwered and fighting for our attention. Portals appear again and again. Lending themselves to be forms creating rhythm by repetition. These portals reflect a transition from method to motif.  They’re also mirrors for reflection and windows that reshape our view of the world. Only blinking made it stay celebrates minimalism and the fragile aspect of the tangible object. The various printing techniques create a sense of serinity because the onlooker, like the maker, is urged to slow down and leave choices to the chance of the technique.

FLÖKT, a flickering flow(bts)

2020

An exploration of our bodily connection with the world surrounding us. It suggests that nature is not something that solely exists outside of us but also something we can sense and experience through our bodies. The audience is invited into a white silk dome, an environment which is in a constant state of transition and allows you to feel the close proximity of things, bodies, the space, the sound, the lights and the massive presence of this environment which literally surrounds you.
